With no more than a long hollow pipe, some primitive tools, and a blob of molten glass for centuries Mexican glass blowers have been producing beautiful hand blown glassware.

Their glass as plenty of bubbles in it so for years it has been fondly nicknamed bubble glass. This was especially prominent in previous times when the blowing process wasn't quite as precise.

All Mexican glassware has a pontil on the bottom of the glassware. This is the place where the glass blower cuts off the hot glass when he or she is finished. It's interesting to note that most Mexican glass blowers are male. The pontil can be rough or smooth depending on the craftsmen.

2. Swirled Glass - this wonderful style of glass comes in several colors including orange and turquoise. The glass has a cloud effect which swirls around and around. It's very pretty and very effective creating a sophisticated barware addition.

3. Spirals - The spirals swirl around the glass creating a sophisticated and elegant look. It's a great choice for that modern bar and that classy get together.

4. Granite - This provides an interesting finish to the glassware. It looks like black smoky marble. You can transform this look from fun and trendy to sophisticated in formal very easily. Beautiful!

The Mexican culture is very special and they are a very talented people. Perhaps more than most realize. Adding blown glass from Mexico to your home is a very classy addition to the home. And it's much more affordable than some of the other options.
